In this video, Brittany demonstrates how to do a hem stitch. This stitch is used when the hem is finished with seam binding or bias tape. This is a hand stitch, so you will need a needle and thread no longer than your forearm. You can coat the thread with wax to reduce tangles when sewing.
Top tip: We recommend a gold eye needle as this is easier to thread and remember to use coordinating coloured thread for your project.
