These terms apply to customers buying for personal use and not in the course of business. By placing an order on our site, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you buy.

Our products
We sell three types of product:
Physical products. Items we ship to you. Some orders may arrive in more than one shipment.
Digital products. Downloadable PDF files delivered by email link. Each PDF is watermarked with your email address.
Print on demand products. Physical prints made from either a digital PDF product you select for printing, or a file you upload to our site. These are made to your specifications and cannot be refunded unless faulty.
Orders
Our site guides you through the ordering process. Please check your order carefully before submitting it.
Your order is an offer to buy from us. We accept your order when we send you an order confirmation email. A binding contract is formed at that point.
We may reject your order if the product is out of stock, we identify a pricing error, we cannot verify your details, or you are located outside our delivery areas. For details of where we ship, see our shipping information page at sewdirect.com/shipping. If we reject your order, we will refund any payment taken.
Price and payment
All prices on our site include VAT where applicable. For orders shipped to the EU, we charge VAT under the IOSS scheme where appropriate. Other regional taxes may apply depending on your delivery address. Delivery charges are shown during checkout.
We charge you when you place your order. If the VAT rate changes between your order date and the date we supply the product, we will adjust the amount accordingly.
We make every effort to ensure prices are correct. If we discover an error, we will contact you before processing the order.
Delivery
We sell worldwide but only ship physical products to specific locations. For details of where we deliver and estimated delivery times, see our shipping information page at sewdirect.com/shipping.
Physical products are normally delivered within 30 days of our order confirmation, unless otherwise stated. Some orders may be delivered in multiple shipments.
Digital products are delivered by email link after your order is confirmed. You are responsible for downloading your PDF promptly.
Responsibility for physical goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us, or when they are collected by you or a carrier you arranged.
We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If a delay is likely to be substantial, contact us at hello@sewdirect.com with your order number. You can cancel the affected items and receive a refund for any products paid for but not received.
Your right to change your mind
You have a legal right to change your mind about most purchases made online. This is your 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
For physical products, the cooling-off period ends 14 days after the day you receive the goods. If your order arrives in separate shipments, the period ends 14 days after you receive the final shipment.
For digital products, we send you a download link by email after your order is confirmed. The download is also available in your account if you have one. You agree that we can supply the download link during the 14-day cancellation period. Once you click the link and start the download, you lose your right to cancel. If you have not started the download, contact us and we will review your request.
You cannot change your mind about:
- digital products, once download has started with your consent
- print on demand products, as these are made to your specifications
- products sealed for hygiene reasons, once unsealed
- goods that become mixed inseparably with other items after delivery
How to cancel
To cancel, email us at hello@sewdirect.com or write to us at G14/15 Ty Cynon, Navigation Park, Abercynon, CF45 4SN, United Kingdom. Please include your name, order number, what you bought, and a clear statement that you want to cancel.
For physical products, your cancellation is in time if you send it before the end of the 14-day cooling-off period. You then have 14 days to return the goods.
Returns
If you change your mind about a physical product, you must return it to us within 14 days of telling us. Returns are at your own cost. Send the product back in its original sealed packaging using a tracked delivery service. Keep your proof of postage.
We only refund standard delivery costs. We do not refund any extra paid for express delivery.
We may reduce your refund if the product is not in its original, unopened condition.
We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item, using the same payment method you used to pay.
Faulty or incorrect products
If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged or not as described, contact us at hello@sewdirect.com with your order number as soon as possible. We may ask for photographs or other information so we can assess the problem quickly. We will cover the cost of return postage for faulty or incorrect items.
Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms. Where the law requires it, we will repair, replace or refund the product.
Digital product licence
When you purchase a digital product, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that design for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You must not:
- redistribute, resell or share the design
- use the design for any commercial purpose
- remove or alter any watermark or copyright notice
The PDF is watermarked with your email address. Any unauthorised distribution may be traced back to your account.
Print on demand products
Print on demand products are made to order. This includes digital PDF products you choose to have printed, and files you upload for printing.
Because these products are made to your specifications, they cannot be refunded or returned unless they are faulty. If a print on demand product is faulty due to a printing error on our side, we will offer you a reprint or a refund at your choice.
We are not liable for damage to fabrics or materials caused by errors in files you upload, including incorrect cut lines, sizing or print alignment. You are responsible for checking your file before placing the order.
If you upload a file for printing, you confirm that you have the right to reproduce that content and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights. We may refuse or cancel an order if an uploaded file is unlawful, offensive, infringes someone else’s rights, is corrupted, or is not suitable for production. If we cancel after payment, we will refund you.
Printed colours, scale and finish may vary slightly from what you see on screen. Small variations that do not affect the overall product are not faults.
Intellectual property
All content on our site, including product images, descriptions and designs, belongs to us or our licensors. You must not reproduce, copy, distribute or use any content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Full terms governing your use of our site will be set out in our separate Terms of Use.
Product descriptions
We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate. However, images are for illustration purposes only. True colours may not exactly match what you see on your device, and packaging may vary slightly. Where we show images of finished items made from our products, these are for inspiration only and are not included in your purchase.
Each product is sold based on its written product description. The product description, not any image, defines what you are buying.
Our liability
We are responsible for losses you suffer caused by us breaking this contract, unless the loss was unforeseeable, caused by a delay outside our control, something you could have avoided, or a business loss.
We supply products for domestic and private use only. We are not liable for any loss of profit, business revenue or business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to products and these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our site when you place your order will apply to that order unless the law requires a change.
We may make minor changes to products to reflect changes in law or to address technical issues. These will not affect your use of the product.
Ending the contract
We can end our contract with you if you do not make payment when due and still do not pay within 14 days of us reminding you, or if you do not allow us to deliver the product to you within a reasonable time.

Disputes
If you have a problem with an order, please email us at hello@sewdirect.com with your order number. We will do our best to resolve it.
These terms are governed by English law. You can bring claims against us in the English courts. If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring claims in the courts of the country you live in.
