Capsule pattern collection for Spring
As we head out of Winter into Spring, it’s a great opportunity to take a look at our handmade wardrobes and see where the gaps are. Here we have brought together some ideal pieces to fill those gaps in your wardrobe.
Spring is also a time where layering different garments is often needed on chillier days, so we have also included some sewing patterns that would be ideal for this.
Pattern: Simplicity SP105

Simplicity 9373
A cosy cardigan is a must have for every wardrobe and we have a whole post on great cardigan sewing patterns. This lovely set of oversized cardigans with front and back bands and an option for patch pockets. The are FOUR sleeve variations to choose between and length options try out. Make in jersey or sweater knits and stay super cosy.
Simplicity S9110
This pattern comes with both trouser and skirt options, both pull-on for ease and comfort. The trousers have patch pockets at the front, which would be idea for colour blocking. Alternatively you can option for cut-out in seam pockets.

These easy to sew high waisted paper bag trousers and skirts feature a pull on design with pockets and a tie belt. The trousers are wide legged and both the skirt and trousers come in two length options.
Vogue Patterns V9286
This pattern is a set of five easy pieces to sew. With loose fitting tops, skirt and trouser options, this is a great value set. The tops include a pullover with dropped sleeves and gathered cuffs or alternately a button front. The skirt and trousers are more fitted with invisible zipper and narrow waist binding.
