This video shows how to sew a fly front zipper, a classic finish for trousers and some skirts. The fly covers the entire zipper and a zipper guard sits behind it on the inside of the garment for comfort against your skin. Most commonly found on jeans it’s a great skill to learn
Top tips:
Tip #1: Transfer all the pattern markings and be sure to stop exactly at them when sewing.
Tip #2: Press precisely on the fold line.
Tip #3: Lengthen the topstitch. Have a zipper that’s too long?
