This video demonstrates how to sew a catch stitch, one of the classic hand stitches. A catch stitch creates a beautiful finish to the hem of a garment. Because it allows movement, it’s a great stitch to use on knit fabrics.
This type of stitch is sewn by hand with a needle and thread.
Top tip: We recommend a gold eye needle as this is easier to thread and remember to use coordinating coloured thread for your project.
