Sewing Bee 2022 Week 5 Patterns & Techniques
That’s right it’s Children’s week on The Great British Sewing Bee 2022. Episode 5 bringing adorable fashion into the workroom with costumes, sailor outfits and school uniform transformations!
MADE TO MEASURE CHALLENGE
The Bees had to create a costumes for Halloween and we saw plenty of spooky designs. We had a gothic fairy, Miss Havisham, nasty Dalek, fearsome dragon, spooky (but cute) clown, glamorous bat and TWO spiders.
They all created completely bespoke one of a kind designs this week so for inspiration we recommend checking out our dedicated Sewing Bee Collections – themed around each episode they’ll have you itching to sew the trends you saw on the show. This time we’ve shared our best costumes; including heroes and princesses, animals and creatures, and those important spooky Halloween costumes.
TINY SAILOR SUITS
GBSB Week 5 featured a sailor outfit for children which had a decorative bib and sweet shorts. We have two patterns you can use to recreate the look.
M6913 is a sailor dress with four views to customise the look. Choose between different trim and bow styles, and decide whether or not to add sleeves to your dress.
S9484 has a large square bib that would look lovely embellished with ribbons or trims. The all in one romper means your little sailor can run around and enjoy themselves with freedom.
