Pattern Favourites: Summer Wardrobe Inspiration
Now that we’re well into the summer season we thought it was time to share some of our lovely summer patterns with you! Whether you’re staying at home or going on a sunny holiday, we hope we can inspire you to make some time to sew something new for your summer wardrobe!
Pattern: Simplicity SP108.
Jumpsuits are everywhere at the moment and we can see why, they are comfortable, very stylish and just fabulous! This pattern has a loose fit and it features an elasticised waist so it will be a dream to wear. We love the floaty sleeves.
Pattern: McCall’s M7937.
Isn’t this outfit absolutely fabulous? Perfect for a summer picnic! The pattern comes with lots of different options for different lengths, sleeves and ruffles!
Pattern: Simplicity 9596.
If you want to feel breezy but look cool at a summer BBQ, beach party or wedding, this might be the pattern for you. It also has a sleeved options if you prefer to keep your arms covered.
Pattern: Simplicity 8139.
This vintage 1950’s inspired bathing dress is adorable! The pattern includes this lined bathing dress with cute bow detail and elastic at the legs, plus a coat with grown on sleeves to which you can add a contrast lining.
Pattern: Simplicity 9609
Sewing swimwear is not as difficult as it might seem. This pattern by indie sewing pattern designer Madalynne includes a video sewalong incase you want extra support. And it comes in a great size range with cup size options included!
This pattern would be wonderful to create a beach cover-up with. It will certainly turn some heads! The design features lots of ruffles and when stitched in a white eyelet cotton like shown here, it will perfect for hot summer days!
Pattern: Simplicity 8134.
These trousers are a must have this summer. The pattern features wrap trousers, culottes AND shorts that tie from the side seam towards the centre front. This is such a versatile and easy to wear pattern, we want to whip one up for every day of the week!

This beautiful pattern has so many lovely design details that we instantly fell in love with it. It’s also a great pattern to play with some stripey fabric or other big and bold prints.

Isn’t this just adorable?! We wanted to include something for those of you who sew for the little ones in your life! This pattern is easy to sew and can be made in one fabric with or without ruffles at the hem, or with a contrast band and pocket. It also includes the super cute kitty face tote bag.
