Dress patterns edit: Christmas party
Our diaries are filling up fast and that can only mean one thing… The party season is upon us! It’s finally okay to mention Christmas and to start thinking about where you’re going to be for the holidays and more importantly; what are you going to wear?!?
Do you want to go for a more casual look or do you want to go all out? It is time to gather some festive dress inspiration! We’ve listed some great looks below that we think you’ll love and we can’t wait to see what you are going for.
Don’t forget to also look at our range of Christmas Craft Patterns to make your home look as good as you do!

Go all out in this gorgeous open back mermaid style gown or choose a classic little black dress. This sleeveless halter dresses can be made short, long with a leg slit or with a mermaid tail of tulle. All styles feature an invisible zipper and a button and loop closure on the neck band.

This fitted dress with lantern sleeves is bang on trend this season. But if these sleeves aren’t for you, the pattern also features two other stylish sleeves and it includes separate pattern pieces for A/B, C and D cup sizes to make fitting very easy.

Ok it’s not a dress… But this eye-catching semi-fitted sleeveless jumpsuit is perfect for a Christmas party! It features a front zipper closing and the front extends into the back collar. Make it in a sequinned fabric to go for the maximum amount of sparkle, but it would be equally lovely in a more subtle fabric.

Pattern Simplicity 9642 / 9643
Why not make this gorgeous velvet V-neck dress. It has three length variations with a lovely flounce detail. We love the short puffed sleeves but you can also choose long sleeves gathered at the wrist. This design also has separate pattern pieces for A, B, C and D cup sizes. Sew Rating: Average.

Prefer a dress that looks glam but feels as comfy as pyjamas? This semi-fitted stretch dress has a back invisible zipper closure, in a midi length with draped off-the-shoulder neckline. It’s great for those who don’t want something too formal.

We couldn’t leave out the iconic DVF wrap dress from Vogue Patterns. It would look amazing in red for a festive take on this classic silhouette and can be made in a cosy knit fabric.
