How To Make A Border Tote

Materials Needed

• Border print fabric for bag – cut (2) pieces 13” x 17”
• Fabric for straps – cut (2) pieces 3” x 26”

Instructions

Note: All seam allowances are 1/2″ unless noted

Step 1: For straps: Fold long edges together and stitch

Step 2: Turn straps right side out

Step 3: Attach strap ends 4” from each side edge with raw edges even

Step 4: Repeat for both sides.

Step 5: Sew bag pieces together, with right sides together along side and lower edge

Step 6: Turn right side out.

Step 7: Turn top edge of bag in 3 1/2” and stitch.

Step 8: Topstitch upper edge, keeping handles up.
