Summer Capsule Handmade Wardrobe
Summer is in full swing and we wish time wouldn’t go this fast so we could enjoy it even longer! If you have noticed any gaps in your wardrobe, now is the time to start planning a new project, because before you know it we’ll be thinking of warm coats again.

Pattern: Butterick 6730.
Butterick 6730 is a beautiful top with a little twist! The design features front neckline tucks, which makes it just a bit more interesting. Make it sleeveless, or add short sleeves with elastic cuffs or short sleeves with a ruffled hem.

Pattern: Burda Style 6298.
Combine your summer tops with these comfortable trousers to create a sporty look which works from day to evening. The design features an elasticated waist, pockets in the forward side seams and small slits with zippers on the pant legs.

Pattern: McCall’s 8092.
If summer was a dress then this would be it! A beautiful off the shoulder elasticated neckline, maxi length, short or long fluttery sleeves with elasticated cuffs… What’s not to love?

Pattern: McCall’s 8095 – #LuciaMcCalls.
This wrap-front top is super trendy with the option to add a ruffle neckline, and billowy sleeves with or without cuffs. McCall’s 8095 has a stunning split sleeve design that steels the show, and it would be perfect to wear on a warm day!

Pattern: New Look 6659.
A midi-length skirt is an unmissable item in your summer wardrobe! New Look 6659 comes in two lengths and features a front split in the longer version. The stitched pleats go from one side front to the back and really add the wow factor to this lovely skirt.

Pattern: Simplicity 9125.
Jump on board the jumpsuit train with this easy to sew jumpsuit from Simplicity. However, if jumpsuits are just not for you, this pattern also includes a beautiful maxi dress design, or you could make a playsuit that is perfect for hot summer days!

Pattern: McCall’s 8085.
Everyone needs a stylish and comfortable dress in their wardrobes! Designed for knitted fabrics, McCall’s 8085 is a loose-fitting, pull-on dress with two different length variations and a hem ruffle option. Make it sleeveless, or go for long or short sleeves.

Pattern: Simplicity 9114.
You can create a little capsule collection with Simplicity 9114 which is designed by Mimi G. It includes a button front, long dress with gathered tiers and long sleeves. Plus a fantastic crop top and trousers that have front pleats, a fly and side pockets.

Pattern: Vogue 1707.
We love the super chic and stylish look of Vogue 1707. It includes a sleeveless and fitted lined waistcoat that you could make in two different lengths. It also includes a pair of loose-fitting trousers and shorts that have front pleats, a mock-fly zip and slant pockets.

Pattern: Simplicity 9059.
Simplicity 9059 is the perfect jacket to add to your summer wardrobe as in comes in three lengths, so you could make a version that looks best with the rest of your capsule collection. It is unlined, and it features dropped sleeves in two style options, an asymmetric or centre front closure, and front and back darts that create a lovely shape.
