Pattern: New Look 6692

This comfortable and cooling loose fitting dress is just the thing for warmer weather. You have a choice of two hem lengths, and you can make it with shoulder straps of puff sleeves. Details include side seam pockets and elasticised back bodice for a close fit.

Pattern: New Look 6572.

Want to make something simple yet stylish? This misses’ jumper dresses ticks both of those boxes! The dress features square or V-neck design with length variations and optional pockets.

Pattern: Simplicity S9294.

Do you are adore vintage style dresses? Designed by Gertie, this square neckline has a sweet V detail in the centre. It’s a close-fitting, lined dresses with sleeve variations, pleated skirt, pockets & back zipper.

If you’re a beginner, this classic woven top pattern is a perfect starting point plus with all those neckline options to choose from you’re really getting great value from this pattern! Try the square neckline version in a lovely cotton lawn or viscose challis.

Pattern: McCalls 7946.

Looking for a delightful summer square neck design? This pretty pullover dress has elasticised upper edge and waist with bias tape casings. You can choose sleeves with elasticised shoulder and lower edges and can also add a ruffle to the hem. If you prefer a sleeveless style, you can pick the shoulder straps that extend into ties. How about a classic smock top you can make in a long list of fabrics? This timeless design could even be embellished at the square yoke with decorative embroidery or Sashiko. It looks so much in checked fabric but you could easy make in a plain linen or seersucker for a simpler effect.
