Nine #SimplicityByMe makes we love

Nothing makes us happier than seeing outfits lovingly stitched by you. We adore seeing your fabric choices, alterations, and how you have embellished a pattern to create something truly your own. We’re celebrating some of our favourite Simplicity makes, but there were so many out there, narrowing it down was near impossible!

Without further ado, and in no particular order, here is a round up of some of our faves.

@vintagedreamblog is rocking the retro style with this make. The sixties fabric is a perfect match and we think the colours are going to look great in the summer sunshine.

And the dress… In the last couple of weeks I learned how to sew clothes. I really enjoy it so I think we will have loads of new clothes this year. Thanks for @mimigstyle for the awesome videos, they made me believe I can do it! And now I’m really determined to get my patterns on fabric, I want to sew with my own fabric so bad! #handmadedress #simplicitypatterns

We love this adorable kid’s make by @artbybeata, especially the cute flower print and pastel colours, and look at those perfect pleats! Want to make one for your little girl? Check out Simplicity 6388.

The force is strong with @stalecupcakes, who has teamed a geeky Star Wars print with the pretty Cynthia Rowley pattern Simplicity 1873. As you can see, Chewy was very impressed!

We love this top by @sewnbylizzy, stitched in an evening, including French seams! This is a great basic wardrobe staple that can be made up in a variety of colours and prints to be worn all year round. To stitch up your own top, use Simplicity 6217.

Little Elsa meets big with this kid’s Frozen costume stitched by @tdrollo, and what better place to show off your Disney makes than Disneyland? If you love this costume as much as us, you can stitch it yourself using Simplicity 1222.

 

6. @notinator

 

Ta-da! This is #simplicitypatterns 8013 in a textured apple-print crepe de chine. Love this pattern! I shortened the skirt and sleeves, and left off the sash, which I think would be too bulky for me personally. Shout out to my dad for taking this photo – you can see him in the window behind me😂! ❤ #adventuresinsewing #sewcialists

Check out this vintage wrap-style dress stitched by @notinator. We love the fabric, and her alteration choices have thinned it out, making it a perfect keep-cool dress for summer. If you want to make your own, try Simplicity 8013.

How adorable is this dress? Lovingly stitched by @kneesocksandgoldilocks, this vintage children’s pattern oozes cute, with the frilly sleeves and white trimmed pockets, there’s even a big blue bow on the back! Want to whip one of these up yourself? Then Simplicity 8099 is for you.

@shun.davis has stitched the Mimi G Simplicity 8084 in a beautiful floral print. She’s all set for the summer now! We love this teamed with a pair of sunglasses and sandals. Check out the pattern for different style options.

What better way to round our post off than with an adorable little boy’s waistcoat, made up in fabric to match his mum’s Simplicity dress? @wind_on_rushes stitched this matching set for her sister and nephew, as well as matching dresses for herself and her other sisters! If you want to stitch this dress use Simplicity 8015, and for the cute waistcoat try Simplicity 1509.
