Today on the blog we are going to talk through the latest sewing pattern releases from Vogue® Patterns and Simplicity. There are some great options to create outfits for the coming season. Here are some of our favourites from Winter coats and jackets to cosy pyjamas and nightwear.
Winter coats and jackets
First up we have a selection of coats and jackets to keep you warm and cosy this Winter. Lets take a closer look at these new additions.
This coat was created by Elaine Heigl Designs and also comes with an Infinity Scarf and Headband pattern. The coat is suitable for stretch knits only and features an open front with side pockets. It has a relaxed fit and is ideal for everyday wear.
From our petite patterns range, this pattern comes with a pencil skirt in mini or midi length plus two blazer options with shawl or lapel collar for maximum versatility. Make using fabrics such as corduroy, brocade or jacquard to give the jacket structure.
This coat is such a timeless wardrobe classic, you can wear it with almost anything. A great investment piece for cold weather, you can wear it for every occasion and make it in any length you desire. It has a classic tie-waist band and the optional side pockets let you try out different sleek and minimal looks.
This jacket is semi-fitted with a number of classic jacket design features including shoulder pads, side front and side back seams, shaped hemline, double welt pockets and optional piping. The pattern also comes with close-fitting trousers that have an elasticized waistband, seam detail, and a stitched hem. It’s a great jacket to wear for Christmas parties as it would look equally chic with trousers or a dress.
We wanted to share this jacket because it has fabulous gathered cuffs, which really set this whole outfit off. It’s loose-fitting and lined with side front pockets and a back vent. The pattern also comes with a co-ordinating fitted and lined dress that has side seam pockets and an invisible side zipper closure. This is a must for your next party!
Finally we couldn’t not share with you this fashionable oversized coat with its classic lapels and easy fit. It’s lined with a four length options and one button closure. Make in a neutral colour that can be worn with everything in your wardrobe.
Nightwear
Next up we have a selection of pyjamas and nightwear to keep you warm and cosy at home over the holidays. Lets take a closer look at these new additions.

The pattern includes trousers and top with front pockets and contrasting collar options for both women and girls. For a fun design detail choose a contrasting piping detail.

The pattern includes trousers and a top with front pockets and contrasting collar options. Add personalised detail by embroidering initials onto the front pockets or adding neon buttons for a pop of colour.
All pyjama sets need a warm dressing gown to go with them! Wrap yourself in the pure comfort and luxury with these easy to sew robes and bottoms for plus sizes S-XXXL. The robes have two length options with pockets and a shawl collar. The pattern also includes pyjama bottoms, what a great gift set this would make!
How cute are these boys and girls loungewear patterns. The dress has ruffles and the top and pant set has contrasting cuff and collar detail. You also get a super cute eye makeup and slipper pattern too!

In addition the pattern includes pull on wide-legged pyjama bottoms, cross over top and a bralette. We think the pyjama bottoms would look great in a Liberty print.
