Maker’s showcase: August

It’s that time of the month when we share all the fantastic makes you’ve been sewing up for your handmade wardrobes.  As we head into October, it’s a great opportunity to look back over Autumn and all the wonderful outfits you’ve taken on holiday and made for special occasions such as family celebrations. Don’t forget to share your latest makes with us on social media using the hashtags #simplicitybyme or #mccallsbyme

First up this month we have @vintage_facade who has made this amazing outfit using Simplicity 8447 for the blouse and 8243 for the jumpsuit. What an amazing photograph too!

Next up we are swooning over @craftypinup Simplicity 6301 wrap dress in a vibrant red jersey – perfect for cheering us up on a grey day!

Oh hello there! @cleocmc has made the most beautiful version of the Simplicity 8591 – we love the leopard print styling. You can never have too much leopard print and it is so on trend!

Pattern hacker pro @katiemakesadress has mixed our Simplicity 8342 with her swimsuit base and has knocked it out the park!

@the.polka.dot.palace is sporting the perfect pairing in her New Look 6483 t-shirt and Cleo dungaree dress from Tilly and the Buttons – you can’t beat a good basic!

@stellesews has totally nailed the use of the large scale print on her Simplicity 8452, it looks amazing.

Kathy @sew_dainty has done a great review of the very popular New Look 6446 Jumpsuit – we love this version! Read the full review here.

@theskirtboss has made a maxi version of our Vogue Patterns® V9253 and we are literally dribbling over how good it is… **adds 4m of pink gingham to basket**

We can’t get enough of gingham and @raliat.oyinlola has got that asymmetric frill nailed on the McCalls M7725 – what a fab outfit!

This beauty from @beatricewinter reminds us of the lovely sunny Summer this year ..it’s the Butterick B5846 in the most amazing print. If this doesn’t put a smile on you face I don’t know what will!

Last but very much not least, our final inspiration comes from @natokay. It’s the Vogue® Patterns V9279 made in a beautiful pastel pink, the finish of the collar is perfect!
