Maker’s Showcase: June – July

It’s nearly the end of July and we feel like summer is passing by way too quickly! It looks like everyone has been sewing up a storm in the past few months and we would like to share some of our favourite makes from June and July with you today.

Hopefully you’ll be inspired to start stitching yourself, because it’s never too late to start a summery project! And when you do, please don’t forget to share it with us on social media using the hashtags #simplicitybyme or #mccallsbyme. We love nothing more than following your sewing adventures!

This beautiful image could not get more summery even if it tried. The fabulous outfit is made by @jettesett, using the Butterick 6453 dress pattern. She also stitched a matching face covering to complete the amazing look!

We love seeing a modern take on a vintage pattern! @make.town made Simplicity 1319 and it looks pretty perfect in this checked wool. It might be a little too hot to wear on warmer days, but as you know the British summer… A chilly day is always around the corner.
