Cynthia Rowley is a world-renowned fashion designer. We are so pleased to have Cynthia’s talents on the Simplicity design team. Our indie sewing pattern licensees create designs in our standard size charts for a consistent experience across our brands.

In her genes…

Coming from an artistic family and making her first dress at the tender age of seven, it is clear creative talents run through Cynthia’s genes, notably from her grandparents – who designed the Pabst Blue Ribbon beer logo.

Rowley attended the School of Art Institute Chicago. However, this young creative soon showed a rebellious streak and was reportedly asked to leave her junior art show as her use of wings in her design was seen as over the top However, the future always looked promising for the young Cynthia, with renowned department store Marshall Field’s buying her first collection whilst still a student.
