Pattern Favourites: Christmas patterns to get crafting

Christmas crafting

With Christmas just around the corner, there is still time to make a couple of last minute handmade gifts to adorn a tree or for presents. Making handmade Christmas gifts is also a fun activity to do as a family. We’ve picked some of our favourite sewing patterns from across the brands to give you inspiration for a handmade Christmas this year.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday, with hopefully a bit of time for sewing, and all the best for 2019.

It’s also a great opportunity to use other crafting items you have in stock at home to customise these stockings with pom pom trims, buttons, bells and ribbons.

Tree decorations

McCalls M3777 Christmas decorations

If you are looking for a really quick make to add a handmade touch to your Christmas tree this year then why not try making your own fabric decorations. It’s a great way to use up fabric scraps too. These also make lovely items to adorn the top of Christmas presents, which the recipient can then add to their tree afterwards.
