Making lingerie is so much fun because you can make whatever feels most like yourself, and you can create the perfect fit. You also get to choose colours and what you do or don’t want to cover up, it’s entirely up to you! Plus, it’s a fantastic way to use up your scraps of fabric.

Pattern: Kwik Sew 3881.

This is a great pattern to ease your way into making underwear! It’s designed for jersey and stretchy materials which will make the fit of these easy to get right. This pattern includes the following styles: briefs, bikini, hipster & thong.

Pattern: Simplicity 8228.

This beautiful bra is designed by Maddie for Simplicity. The pattern includes soft cup bras in halter or racer back, and panties with scalloped lace trimmings. The bra includes sizes 32A to 42DD, the panties include sizes XS-XL.

Pattern: Simplicity 8229.

Another stunning design by Madalynne! This bra has an underwire and adjustable straps. It can be made with option of lace, knit or spandex back band. The pattern also includes basic panties with scalloped lace trim. Bras sized 32A to 42DD, panties sized XS-XL.

Pattern: Simplicity 8711.

We wanted to share one more design by Maddie Flanigan! This is the monowire bralette, which comes in sizes 32A-42DD. The bralette features a super cute small ruffle at the bottom. The pattern also includes matching panties with three rows of ruffles on the back in sizes XS-XL.

Pattern: Simplicity 1426.

Not a big fan of lace? This vintage 1950’s style bra top could be something for you. It’s designed for wovens only, so no fiddly fabrics to worry about. The pattern includes 5 (!) different style bra tops, which will great to wear under your clothes or you could make one to wear during hot summer days.

Pattern: Kwik Sew 3594.

This classic bra is designed for nylons or stretchy lace fabrics. The bra is finished with elastic on all outer edges to make the fit nice and snug and to make your bra comfortable to wear. Sizing includes 32 AA – 40 DDD.

Pattern: Kwik Sew 3167.

This beautiful all lace set is made with Kwik Sew pattern 3167. Not only does it include this camisole, it also includes three different panties. Choose to combine your camisole top with boy-cut panties, a thong, or a thong with wide lace.

Pattern: Vogue 8888.

A slightly more involved make would be this lingerie set from Vogue. It includes sewing with lace and a drapey fabric such as silk or satin. The pattern also comes with a loose-fitting wrap robe with shawl collar, a close-fitting bias camisole, a slip with shoulder straps, and semi-fitted bias panties with an elastic waist.

Pattern: Butterick 6031.

Designed for knitted fabrics, this pattern is made for comfort! The designs are close-fitting, elasticized and are adorned with trims, ribbons and bows. The pattern includes this slip, a camisole top and panties.

Pattern: Burda Style 7627.

Who wouldn’t want to make a matching slip, a camisole top, pyjamas and a robe! Put your new lingerie making skills to the test and sew this set in a lovely drapey fabric and add beautiful lace details.
